After our successful initial implementation, In2food Strand is extending the use of TransLution to include Raw Material Receiving; tracking transfers, issues and supplier returns; and extended manufacturing functionality including backflush of manufactured goods. The system will also perform basic quality control data capture.

The first project focussed on the dispatch process. Each Lug box was labelled with a customer label when it was picked for a sales order. As lug boxes were scanned onto dollies, each scan was validated and a dispatch note was automatically created in Syspro once all lug boxes for a given sales order were scanned.

The Prepared Foods factory is exceptionally well invested in the latest equipment from around the World to offer an unparalleled food processing capability for South Africa.

In2food chose AfriSoft and TransLution for this project because of our history of successful implementations in the Food and Beverage industry in general and with In2food in particular. This is our third project at In2food and the experience we have gained has given us an understanding of not only the use of scanning software in these environments but also an understanding of the issues related to dealing with fresh produce and managing grading and other issues related to this type of product.
