PRILLA 2000 USES TRANSLUTION™ SOFTWARE FOR ITS INVENTORY AND SUPPLY CHAIN INTEGRATION
Prilla 2000, a 100% cotton spinning mill, has implemented Translution™ Software to automatically update Cotton SA’s Sustainable Cotton Cluster (SCC) programme through iQ™ Logistica on its receiving and use of cotton bales.
Bales are received and tracked with labels generated by Translution™ with either auto-updated Cotton South Africa assigned bale numbers or Translution™-generated bale numbers for internationally received bales. Cotton SA’s SCC programme is updated by Translution™ Software at each mandatory point in the spinning process from bale receipts to sale orders dispatch.
Translution™’s Load Planner is also utilised at Prilla to populate dispatch notes with sales orders for effective load management. Load Planner specifies each bail or finished product to be stacked for dispatch to the correct truck across sales order lines and sub-categories in order to load to the maximum capacity in the most efficient manner.
Translution™ Software was chosen because of its ability to eliminate manual updates and queries to Cotton SA’s SCC programme while effectively monitoring stock, the manufacturing process and the supply chain.
