As part of a continuing drive to improve customer service for the Sub-Saharan African Market, Safequip worked with RSA Soft to implement TransLution™ Software, aiming to streamline the process in which customers sign invoices when receiving goods. TransLution™ is used for both delivery and collection.

For collected orders, the customer places an order and comes into the store to collect. The store’s service agent signs into a tablet running TransLution™ and can view a grid with the last five days of invoices which have not yet been signed. The store employee selects the invoice that is being collected and marks it as ‘Collected by Customer’. The customer then signs receipt on the screen, and the date and time are logged by TransLution™. The invoice is printed and handed to the customer. The invoice is then removed from the grid as it has been marked as signed.

When goods are delivered to customers, each driver is given a tablet that runs TransLution™. The driver logs in to the tablet and selects the invoice in question from the grid, marks it as ‘Delivered to Customer’. As before, the customer signs on screen, but instead of printing the invoice and delivery note, they are emailed to the customer.

TransLution™ has also provided Safequip another option – allowing a third party to collect goods. In this case, a photo is taken of the invoice and delivery note.

Another successful implementation by RSASoft, who has provided a solution to serve Safequip’s business extremely well.  This success has ensured that concept will be extended and rolled out to other companies in the group.
