Cecil Vinegar Works has been manufacturing naturally fermented vinegar since 1936.  All their vinegars are produced from natural ingredients using the latest submerge fermentation technology.

Cecil Vinegar is part of the Libstar Group and is one of the many group companies using TransLution™ Software.

After the successful completion of phase one of the project in which TransLution™ was used to track production data and update this information to SYSPRO in real time, Cecil Vinegar extended their TransLution™ implementation to include a range of warehousing features.

TransLution™ Software’s warehousing functions designed for Cecil Vinegar include some simple label printing options to print labels for cases of vinegar, as well as transfer functions to move product from one warehouse to another.

A complete dispatch process was also implemented, including scanner-based sales order picking and SCT (Supply Chain Order) picking. In both cases, picking is done via a scanner using picking information read from SYSPRO. If loose items are being picked, they are scanned onto a pallet to facilitate easier movement of these goods. Once picking is completed, there is a scanner-based process to build loads and scan them onto trucks to ensure traceability and accuracy.

Additionally, TransLution™ provides full support for both stock takes and cycle counts.  This has enables greater visibility and potential issues are picked up before they become problems.

The biggest benefits for Cecil Vinegar have been improved efficiencies, faster turn around times and greatly improved customer satisfaction.
