BrandVia selects TransLution to implement a scanning system to manage their warehouse
BrandVia, a USA-based brand engagement company who supplies branded merchandise, corporate gifts, corporate swag, and more, selected TransLution as their implementation partner for the implementation of a scanning system to manage their warehouse.
The first phase included the implementation of Labelling, Purchase Order Receiving and Supply Chain Transfer Receiving. The primary goal of this initial phase was to ensure all stock is labelled accurately. This will facilitate the scanning of stock for movements performed throughout the warehouse, which are to be implemented in subsequent phases.
BrandVia use SYSPRO inspection for receipt of purchase orders and TransLution was implemented to facilitate this process. Purchase orders are received into inspection via a TransLution grid. Goods are then inspected and a scanner is used to capture the accepted and rejected quantities. The necessary transactions are posted to SYSPRO to bring the stock out of inspection into inventory or reject it. Supply chain transfers are also received via TransLution and brought into stock in the receiving warehouse. In both receiving processes, labels are printed to ensure all stock in the warehouse is accurately labelled.
Subsequent phases are under way, which include inventory movements (put away, bin transfers, stock transfers, stock adjustments and inventory receipts), picking, packing and shipping as well as cycle counts.
