Peregrine Implements TransLution Software to Enhance Order Picking and Dispatch

Peregrine, a UK-based exotic pet and reptile supplies company, has successfully implemented TransLution Software at their facility in the UK. The primary objective of this implementation was to enhance order picking and dispatch operations for their unique product range, which includes exotic pets and live pet food such as crickets.

TransLution Software was integrated to support several critical functions. Order picking functionality was implemented to enable efficient picking using handheld devices. Additionally, courier integration was introduced to automate API calls to courier services for shipment booking. The system also includes automated dispatch alerts, which send customers email notifications as soon as their orders are dispatched, improving customer communication.

This implementation aims to boost operational efficiency, reduce errors, and enable consolidated invoicing of multi-order shipments. Peregrine anticipates that these improvements will lead to significant time savings through automated processes, particularly in consolidating orders and invoicing that includes shipment charges, which previously required substantial manual effort.

The next stage of the implementation will focus on automated order prioritization and wave picking consolidation to further enhance picking efficiency.
