Buffalo Tapes, a leading self-adhesive tape company in Southern Africa, boasts over 3000 tape products. With such an array of products, Buffalo Tapes chose to implement TransLution™ Software to help manage their Johannesburg warehouse.

TransLution™ is used to print labels for boxes of goods that are manufactured in the factory. TransLution™ manages the number of labels printed to ensure that users do not print too many and even determines which label design is to be printed based on the job selected. Labels are also printed for finished goods stock received from a supplier.

Once labels are printed for manufactured goods, they are applied to boxes and scanned to post job receipts to SYSPRO. An error is logged if the user tries to receipt more than what is left on the job or if there is insufficient stock to perform the kit issue. In addition to posting the job receipt, the stock receipted on a job linked to a sales order will be automatically shipped to the sales order when the job is receipted.

Once boxes have been receipted, there is a put-away function that is used to transfer boxes from production into a bin in the warehouse and once in the warehouse, there are scanner functions to move boxes between warehouse bins.
