RG Brose is the world’s fourth-largest family-owned automotive supplier, developing and manufacturing mechatronic systems for vehicles. RG Brose is a long-standing client running TransLution at both their Brits and East London sites and this project was an extension to their existing use of TransLution.

RG Brose elected to implement TransLution Software to perform the GIT Goods in Transit (GIT) process using a scanner with Track and Trace functionality. TransLution Software enables the seamless capture of item movements during transportation and directly posts this information to SYSPRO. Before posting to SYSPRO, the information undergoes validation to ensure accuracy and consistency.

The GIT function was also integrated with the Purchase Order Receiving process, using one function to receive both GIT’s and Purchase Orders. The user enters a reference, and TransLution determines how the process is handled, directing the user through various steps to accurately receive the product.

RB Brose’s existing usage of TransLution includes Cycle Count and Scrap functions, which has enhanced their inventory management and streamlined handling of damaged or unusable items. These additional features contribute to a more comprehensive and efficient supply chain management process. Grids and views offer a clear overview of the movements of goods, accurately tracing their path.

By implementing TransLution, RB Brose reduced the number of errors and simplified the GIT Goods in Transit process. TransLution provides real-time operational information to workers and management, which helps improve decision-making and performance monitoring.
