Vinimark is the largest independent wine specialist company in South Africa, distributing and marketing more than 50 of the country’s best known wine brands. Vinimark chose to work with Afrisoft and RSA Enterprise Software in Cape Town, using TransLution™ to assist them in managing their inventory.

In the initial phase, TransLution™ is used to receive stock and post this data to SYSPRO to create GRN documents. As part of this process the software automatically sends an email to selected Vinimark users to notify them if a GRN post to SYSPRO has failed and to give a reason why.

The initial phase also has both a stock-take and cycle-count process where users can scan items, review and verify the scanned data and then process the stock-take results in SYSPRO. Due to an unreliable wi-fi network, Vinimark makes use of the buffered scanning feature offered by TransLution™ to do stock-takes. This feature allows users to scan when they are not in wi-fi range and data is stored on the scanner and downloaded to the server once in range. This feature can save significant costs in large warehouse and particularly in outside storage areas where full coverage can be hard to achieve.
