Lancewood Swellendam is one of three Lancewood sites running TransLution Software, with the others in George and Sonnendal. Lancewood is a South African cheese and dairy producer that prides itself on its reputation for superior quality and flavour.

Lancewood utilised the services of Afrisoft Africa to implement TransLution™ Software as a full Warehouse Management System. Like the other sites, Lancewood Swellendam products finished goods, however the site acts primarily as a supply warehouse for Lancewood George. This means that rather than picking sales orders for customers, finished goods are dispatched to the warehouse in George.

Aside from that adjustment, the TransLution implementation acts as a complete warehouse management system. TransLution is used to receive purchase orders and create Goods Received Notes documents in SYSPRO. From there, raw materials are issued to Jobs and finished goods are received from jobs. Finished goods are then shipped to Lancewood George using Supply Chain Transfers. Because goods are generally palletised, all the details about the pallets are stored in TransLution.
