SPG International is the world’s leading manufacturer of storage systems, producing products in steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and wire. SPG recently faced the challenge of upgrading to SYSPRO 8 ERP software, and with the upgrade decided to replace an outdated barcode scanning system that no longer met their needs.

SPG turned to TransLution™ Software as a platform for automating and streamlining data collection in the warehouse and on the shop floor.

The SPG implementation project started by redefining the workflow for sales order picking, packing, and shipping, followed by raw materials receiving and management. Timelines were short because the old scanning software was not compatible with SYSPRO 8, so the first phase had to be implemented quickly.

With the initial implementation completed, TransLution™ will be further implemented to manage material and labor tracking on the production floor at three manufacturing facilities in North America.
