Skillcraft Agencies implements TransLution™ Software for warehouse management
Skillcraft is a wholesaler of industrial quality tools at affordable prices to the South African market. Skillcraft implemented TransLution™ Software to assist with warehouse management and sales order picking.
Skillcraft’s goal was to improve stock accuracy and implement a sales order picking process along with a process to pick stock for transfer between warehouse in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The process implemented at Skillcraft begins with a label printing process to ensure that all stock is labelled as it is delivered. A complete Purchase Order receiving process will be implemented in a later phase. Once labelled stock is moved around the warehouse using trolleys. The use of trolleys facilitates the movement of multiple stock items at the same time.
TransLution™ is used to release sales orders in SYSPRO for picking and to print the SYSPRO pick slips. Users are directed through the picking process to guide them to the appropriate bins for picking. As items are picked, they are added to a SYSPRO Dispatch Note and short picked items are placed on back order. Stock is picked onto pallets and is unpacked, checked, labelled, and repacked for dispatch.
