Lancewood Sonnendal implements TransLution Software to manage warehouse operations
Lancewood Sonnendal is one of three Lancewood sites running TransLution Software, with the others in George and Swellendam. Lancewood is a South African cheese and dairy producer that prides itself on its reputation for superior quality and flavour.
Lancewood Sonnendal utilised the services of Afrisoft Africa to implement TransLution™ Software as a full Warehouse Management System. TransLution is used to receive purchase orders and create Goods Received Notes documents in SYSPRO.
From there, raw materials are issued to Jobs and finished goods are received from jobs. Finished goods are then either transfer between warehouses using the SYSPRO Goods in Transit functionality or they are picked for Sales orders. TransLution is used to do both bulk- and fine-picking and this data is used to create dispatch notes in SYSPRO. Because goods are generally palletised, all the details about the pallets are stored in TransLution.
Additionally, TransLution is used to manage the dry goods store and regular stock takes are done to manage the stock in the dry goods store.
