Amaro Foods, a Libstar Group company, produces and supplies bakery products, including soft rolls, a braai range, croissants, speciality breads, wraps and hot cross buns to Woolworths across South Africa.

The focus of the TransLution™ implementation at Amaro was to give the shop floor users a great deal of control over Jobs in SYSPRO while keeping the software as easy to use as possible.

When users scan a Job number to do a job receipt, they are shown the quantity to make, quantity already made and quantity outstanding. They are allowed to post receipts against completed jobs but are warned that the job is complete. If they do a full receipt, TransLution™ will not only post the receipt but also automatically mark the job as complete.

If they do a part-receipt they are also given the option to close the job, but at any point users are able to re-open a job. In fact, if users choose to scan something that was already issued to a completed job, they are able to re-open the job and reverse both the quantity issued and the labour posted. These three business object calls to SYSPRO are all dealt with in the background by TransLution™ and users are fully shielded from all the complexities of the transaction.

In addition to completing jobs when posting job receipts, users also have a grid interface that allows them to select any job and complete it directly from the grid.
