Artemis has an interesting Stock Code management process. Clients place orders on Artemis brands using their own stock codes. There is a TransLution function that allows a user to do a stock code conversion to deal with this situation. This function does stock adjustments in SYSPRO to transfer stock from the customer specific stock code to the Artemis generic stock code.

Sales orders are picked manually but the SO number is scanned when picking starts to give visibility on the order status. Once picking is complete, all picked items are scanned as they are packed for checking purposes. Any short checks require a short check reason and short checked items are placed on back order in Syspro. Once checking is complete, the sales order is updated in Syspro and the invoice is generated. As part of this process, TransLution also generates parcel labels.

Translution is also used in production. The job card is scanned at the start of the production process to give visibility to the process. The job card is also scanned at the end of production, a job receipt is posted to SYSPRO, and production item labels are printed.

Artemis implemented a production reversal process, allowing a finished good item to be ‘unpacked’ into its constituent items. Since not everything can be retrieved when production is undone, the user can select a production job and then also select which components need to be added back into stock.

In addition to these main functions, there are also various housekeeping functions supported by TransLution. These include printing functions to print item labels and bin labels as well as reprinting production job labels.

There are also various stock management functions which post transactions to SYSPRO to keep the stock picture in Syspro accurate, these functions include transferring stock between bins and doing transfers between warehouses as well as a stock take process.
