Managing more than 100,000 inventory transactions a day across six warehouses is no small task. In a recent TransLution webinar, Wietz Coetzer from Peregrine Livefoods shared how the business transformed its warehouse operations by replacing manual, paper-based processes with integrated digital solutions.
With over 5,000 bin locations, 1,200 orders and 2,200 dispatches processed daily, Peregrine needed a system capable of handling high transaction volumes while improving accuracy and efficiency.
Working alongside SYSPRO, Peregrine implemented more than 20 customised TransLution applications to streamline key warehouse processes, including receiving, directed putaway, order allocation, picking and packing, stock counting, replenishment and courier integration.
The results include fewer fulfilment errors, improved stock accuracy, greater operational visibility and more effective resource planning.
Wietz also shares valuable lessons from the implementation, highlighting the importance of accurate master data, reliable infrastructure, thorough user testing and a manageable project scope.
