Bosworth, a specialist in the manufacture of conveyor pulleys and forgings, has selected TransLution™ to assist in the manufacturing process. The second phase will post data into both Sage Pastel and Bosworth’s own Production Planning System in real-time. This two-phase approach will allow users to become familiar with the scanning processes before integrating it into their business systems.
Herbal And Homeopathic is a South African manufacturer of natural pharmaceutical products. Production of these pharmaceuticals is a complex process, involving tracking of many raw and packing materials in and out of the production facility. All materials are tested by the lab before they can be released into the storage area for issuing to production. Furthermore, all of the materials have expiry dates and supplier batches must be tracked throughout the storage and production processes. One of the major challenges in the process was to count the material stock in the storage area, which was both time consuming and fraught with errors caused by the incorrect recording of the stock.
Riegut Marketing is a high-volume importer and distributor of furniture to South African furniture retailers. Items are purchased in bulk in order to afford retailers competitive prices.
Riegut employs TransLution™ to track product movements between different warehouses and immediately update SYSPRO in order to ensure that SYSPRO stock figures are correct, allowing sales orders to be picked and dispatched.
EverTrade is a company that imports and distributes a wide range of commodities in South Africa with a specific focus on high value electronic items.
EverTrade chose TransLution™ to provide them with a scanner based checking solution. Every phone that is shipped out on a sales order is scanned. In addition to scanning the phone serial number, the operator also scans the IMEI number. At the end of the packing and checking process TransLution updates Syspro with the number of phones scanned and creates a dispatch note in Syspro. There is a packing list printer per order and customer branch to show each serial number and IMEI number shipped to a specific customer branch.
Beijing Automotive Works (BAW), a subsidiary of Beijing Automobile Industry Holding Company (BAIC) in China, and two local partners have invested R196 million in a new assembly plant in Springs to produce taxi vehicles for the domestic and sub-Saharan markets.

Altech is a South African telecommunications company providing a range of communication and electronic services and products. Altech, together with Bytes Technology Group, forms part of the Telecommunications, Multi-media and Information Technology (TMT) division of Altron, its parent company.
One of Altech’s services includes production and maintenance of credit card payment terminals, for which they have selected TransLution™ to assist them in managing the Repairs Process. As items are received for repairs they are logged into the system and scanned. The terminal is sent to a technician to determine the fault and the repair requirements.
The key end user benefits of 3.62 relate to our ongoing improvements for allowing TransLution™ to work in a multi-company environment. Now when logging onto either an EazyScan or EazyTouch client, or the TransLution™ Configurator, users can select at that point which company they want to log on to.
We have also made significant strides in making it simpler for customers to maintain their site information without the need to call someone for support. It is possible, when adding a new device to the system to simply copy permissions from an existing device rather than having to set up permissions from scratch. Users can also be copied from existing users. Menu structures have also changed to support our ease of use efforts.
