With a quickly expanding business, SafeTop needed a dynamic warehouse management system that could cope with a changing technological environment while not losing stability or functionality. Their key requirement was to automatically assign picking jobs to different pickers throughout different areas of their warehouse and arrange these as a whole – prioritised by order date – or as a function of the warehouse manager.

Prilla 2000, a 100% cotton spinning mill, has implemented Translution™ Software to automatically update Cotton SA’s Sustainable Cotton Cluster (SCC) programme through iQ™ Logistica on its receiving and use of cotton bales.

In this initial implementation, the G.Fox user scans a barcode which is stored in a custom field in SYSPRO and uses that information to retrieve the Stock Code. TransLution™ then responds by showing the Stock Code on the screen. This code is also found on the item label, allowing the user to alert a supervisor if there is a mismatch. If the inventory item has not been received into SYSPRO, the user is able to see that from the error that is displayed.

Translution™ validates that there is sufficient quantity of the components in the first level of the Bill of Materials before posting.

MONN Carpets, a leading manufacturer of premium-quality carpets, uses TransLution™ as an inventory management tool. Users print stock labels displaying the stock code, description, lot number, receiving order, and a unique barcode.

Upon receiving stock, the labels are applied and scanned to transfer stock into a location. These labels are also scanned to transfer stock from one location to another and when dispatching stock. All stock movements are tracked and logged and the quantities of the stock in the different bin locations are updated.
