Version 5.7 has a large focus on extending the EazyTouch look and feel. This has been done by allowing Super Users to create and manage layouts to control font size, line colour, filtering and grouping on a per function area basis.
Additional changes include the introduction of some tools to assist with managing function area versions. In this release we have added the ability to replace one function area with another on all devices.
Montagu Foods, a Libstar group company, implemented TransLution™ Software with the vision of stock traceability through jobs. The project is focussed on finished goods and will go back to the beginning of the process in subsequent phases.
The first step in the project was labelling finished goods pallets and posting a Job Receipt to Syspro. This allows TransLution™ to build up a stock picture of all stock on each pallet in the warehouse. The system also supports pallets with mixed stock on the pallets.
Can inventory cycle counts completely replace stock-take in an organization?
Any manufacturer, distributor or warehouse manager is familiar with the concept of physical stock-take. While essential to maintaining inventory accuracy, it can be a disruptive process that causes down-time for business and leaves a lot of room for inaccuracy.
Inventory cycle counts, on the other hand, can complement or replace an annual stock-take exercise while improving day-to-day stock management and accuracy. Any strategy for verification of physical stock must include considerations for internal accounting and audit requirements.
Halewood Wines & Spirits is one of South Africa’s fastest growing manufacturers of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Halewood have bins in their warehouse that do not exist in SYSPRO, instead using TransLution™ to keep track of stock.

Lancewood utilised the services of Afrisoft Africa to implement TransLution™ Software as a full Warehouse Management System. Like the other sites, Lancewood Swellendam products finished goods, however the site acts primarily as a supply warehouse for Lancewood George. This means that rather than picking sales orders for customers, finished goods are dispatched to the warehouse in George.
TransLution Version 5.6 has a large focus on extending the Android functionality to be closer to the current EazyTouch functionality. With that goal in mind, Android was extended to support the two Quality Manager overlays and also to support the ability to call a Subroutine from both a General Grid and a TL Selector grid.
Additional changes include the ability to setup the permissions for EazyQuery using EazySetup and also some enhancements to the way data is logged after doing a post to Syspro.

INTOCAST is a major supplier of consumables for iron and steelmaking to the German and European steel industry. This global organization has a network of 12 German and 17 foreign sites. INTOCAST Ibérica in Spain is the third INTOCAST site in Europe and the fourth overall to use TransLution™ Software in their production scanning.
The Spanish site uses TransLution™ to label and scan finished goods out of production. When a finished item is scanned, TransLution™ uses the Bill of Materials to find all the raw materials required to make this product.
Brelko, a South African designer and manufacturer of conveyor belt cleaning equipment, elected to use TransLution™ to assist with managing warehouse stock in the production process.

TransLution™ Software USA has been working with American Printing House for the Blind (APH) to implement a scanning system that integrated with the organization’s existing SYSPRO system. The major release of TransLution™ V5.4 on 16 September 2019 focussed mainly on simplifying the implementation and setup of TransLution™ and making the system more scalable. It is now easier to manage users and access rights with the implementation of EazySetup, and a number of other useful changes have improved usability as well.

The biggest features of this release are focussed around simplifying the setup for implementers and changing ERP communications to Syspro to make the software more scalable. We have combined Site and User Maintenance into a single EazySetup application and have at the same time added the maintenance of Syspro operators to that application.
